|Description:||Men repairing Wackett Widgeon II of RAAF. Arrived in Darwin on 6 May 1928 from Mascot, NSW, crewed by its designer Lawrence Wackett. It was to have flown to Singapore to rendezvous with RAF Southamptons for Australian visit. The aerodrome was insufficient for full load departure, fitted with floats but two take-off attempts aborted. With lesser load it flew to Broome WA on 13 May and met Southamptons there.|
