Norris embarked from Sydney on board HMAT A55 'Kyarra' on 28 November 1914. He returned for duty in Colombo and embarked per HT 'Warwickshire' 15 April 1919. His final return to Australia was on 26 June 1919 on 'Somalie' from Colombo.
