Description / Abstract: Between June and August 2011, the Government conducted Stronger Futures consultations across the Northern Territory. The most significant of the consultations were those held in what the Government has described as ‘prescribed communities’. This is because the 2007 Northern Territory Emergency Response, or the Intervention as it is better known, was directed at Aboriginal peoples living in these seventy-three areas. Consultations from different parts of the Territory were recorded. These were from the communities of Kintore, Yuendumu, Mutitjulu, Alice Springs Town Camps, Galiwin’ku, Maningrida, Yirrkala and from Bagot Community. Additionally, two public meeting ‘consultations’ were also recorded – one in Darwin and the other in Alice Springs.
