Abstract
Water allocation is the process of determining how much water must stay in the environment to protect ecological functions and meet environmental requirements, and how much is available for drinking and regional economic priorities. Water allocation in the Northern Territory is undertaken at a regional level within defined areas known as water control districts, which are declared by the Minister for Water Resources (Minister) by Gazette notice.,
