Abstract

A request was received by the Drainage, Irrigation and Hydrochemistry Section, to carry out investigations related to five bores under consideration to supply water for the Yulara Village. A co-ordinating slip was supplied. The five bores were RN numbers 10490, 12058, 12455, 12453 and 12458. On the 27th February the Senior Technical Officer flew to Alice Springs, anticipating a connecting flight to Yulara that evening. However, due to an airline industrial dispute, and bad weather, he did not arrive on site at Yulara until 30/1/81. Work began at once.,
