Biographical notes
Darwin born Jessica Mauboy rose to stardom on the 2006 Australian Idol TV show as the runner-up on the tightly contested fourth season. Since Australian Idol she has released two sucessful solo albums and more recently Jessica starred in the lead role in the Australian movie 'Bran Nue Dae' which was released in 2010. The singer has also visited Indonesia as a cultural ambassador with the Australian Government's In2Oz: Creative Australia program. Jessica has won a number of music awards including MTV Australia, the ARIA's and the NT Indigenous Music Awards.,
