Biographical notes

Patty married Noel Lytton 'Bunnie' Buntine and they had two children, Stirling and Jodie. In 1968 they owned fifty per cent of the Territory Transport Association (renamed Co-Ord Transport) with depots in Katherine and Alice Springs and Wyndham in West Australia. By 1980 they had 49 road trains with additional depots at Tennant Creek and Mt Isa. They built the Buntine Roadways into a multimillion dollar enterprise business, the best known and biggest in the Australia's north and sold it in 1981. They brought the Darwin Motor Inn and live on a small pastoral property near Katherine. Patty and Noel had a keen interest in horse racing, winning the Darwin Cup a number of times and many other races around the territory and interstate. Noel died on the 11th January 1994 at their Gold Coast unit in Queensland and was buried at Katherine. Patty still lives in Katherine and enters her pumpkin vegetables in the Katherine show winning quite a few times. She has won events in Australian Masters Swimming Games.,
