An older brother of Malcolm McArthur Gregg (7366),

History

Enlisted as an Engineer, Morphetville, S.A., 10 Sept 1914. (Service Number: 119). Discharged 15 December 1914 as 'unlikely to make an efficient soldier.' Re-enlisted as a Labourer, Keswick, S.A., 14 June 1915. (Service Number: 2942). Embarked Adelaide on board HMAT A15 'Star of England' on 21 September 1915. Served in France and Belgium. On 24 March 1919 he was sentenced to 10 years PS Parkhurst Prison for joining a mutiny. Returned to Australia per 'Ascanius' 23 September 1919 to complete sentence but was discharged as a disciplinary case on 6 November 1919 under the provisions of the amnesty.,
