WEDNESDAY JULY 15 2015 NEWS 13 V1 - SUBE01Z01MA Elli Belle will play at the Territory Made designers markets this Sunday. Picture: IVAN RACHMAN Live and delicious at the markets THE Territory Made designers markets are on at the Botanic Gardens this Sunday, with fresh, healthy food options, delicious sweets, live music and the Bamboo Bar featuring martini espressos and mojitos. This months markets will showcase the talents of local musos Ben Evolent, who just won the overall NT Song of the Year competition and Elli Belle, a young, up-and-coming singer/songwriter who is fast becoming a local favourite. I only started playing as a solo artist when I moved to Darwin last year and so many wonderful things have happened since, she said. Elli loves playing at venues where she can get to know the crowd, so the markets are the perfect place. I just want intimate shows where I can really connect with people, she said. The markets run from 10am-10pm, with music starting at 3pm. Fashion, furniture, art, jewellery, children and baby clothes, homewares, gifts and loads of delicious food and drinks including a bubble tea store will all spring into action on the Coconut Lawns. There will be gourmet [Territory-style versions of] hot dogs, pies and pastries, along with gluten-free and raw food cakes, sweet options and the ubiquitous coffee van. All food is handmade using local and organic ingredients where possible. Take the family and let the little ones go wild in the Kids Zone while you enjoy some fine food and entertainment. The markets will take place every second Sunday of the month.
