The objectives of the project were to identify and address key knowledge gaps in the understanding of groundwater systems in the Northern Territory. Priority was given to areas within Water Control Districts with a Water Allocation Plan, as defined in the Northern
Territory Water Act (2011). The areas studied were Alice Springs, Ti Tree, Western Davenport, Mataranka, Katherine Tindall, Oolloo, Howard East and Berry Springs. All the areas had Water Allocation Plans declared or in preparation at the time of the project.,
