Abstract
The hydrogeology of the Pacoota Sandstone and Goyder Formation in the vicinity of theLkoe;Creek Borefield near Alice Springs has been clarified following a field investigation which commenced in 1979. Although the main source of town water supply is to remain the Vereenie Sandstone, limited development of aquifers in the Lower Sandstone Unit of Pacoote Sandstone is recommended. Production bore sites are identified; these have been investigated by observation
bores drilled nearby. Production bore design is detailed.,
