Wet season operations in the area were carried out between 28th January and late February by two field teams alternating on a two weeks in, two weeks out basis. The task set for each team was to gather discharge and rainfall data, operate and maintain all river height and meteorological stations in the catchment and further reconnoitre the billabong system between Nabarlek and Mt Nimbuwah. Two dye tracer studies were performed in the mixing zone upstream of GS 821 0024 at Nabarlek and a sediment transport study was planned for Cooper Plains downstream of Mt Borradaile. However, due to the low rainfall, expected flow conditions on the plains could not be met resulting in this aspect of the program being cancelled.
