Furness in Hydrogeophysical Report 83110 ident:ified three potential environments for aquifers in the area. These are: 1. Dolomitic and course grained arenaceous interbeds of the Wildman Siltstone, 2. Possible secondary porosity due to faulting and brecciation within the Wildman Siltstone, and 3. Course grained arenaceous sediments of the Petrel Formation overlying the unconformJ.ty developed on the Wildman Siltstone. The aim of the survey was to explore and define the above environments.
