The plan for the development of the new city of Palmerston includes the formalisation of Marlow's Lagoon for the purpose of recreational use.
In order to establish the condition of the lagoon prior to development, the site was visited by the Water Division Limnologist on 23/8/83 and again on 16/9/83. Samples of water were taken for laboratory analysis and a Martek Mk XV water quality analyser was used to produce relevant on-site parameters.,
