View of "Lovers walk" - on photo. Lover's Walk, which descended along the edge of the cliff at the S.W. end of Bennett Street to the beach on the outer side alongside the old doctor's quarters at the foot of Fort Hill. In Dr. Gilruth's time that walk was blocked and went into disuse. Government House just visible on left of picture. Track is bordered by stone retaining wall and dense growth.,
