The second stage of groundwater investigations for a water supply for the proposed Central Australian Penal Institution was undertaken in August 1982. The Cainizoic aquifers, in particular the Waite Formation of the western margin of the Ti Tree Basin were investigated on the eastern extent of Aileron pastoral lease.,
