Abstract

Report on the support provided to nine of the providers that formed the Communities of Practice. The objective of the project was to develop a remote community NDIS readiness and operational model, using a place-based community development approach. These projects identified participants, identified needs of community members and strengthen and develop services to meet the needs of the community. The nine organisations are: Alawa Aboriginal Corporation; Australian Regional and Remote Community Services; Calvary Home Care Services; CatholicCare NT; Mabunji Aboriginal Resources Indigenous Corporation; Thamarrurr Development Corporation; Urapuntja Aboriginal Corporation; Waltja Tjutangku Palyapayi Aboriginal Corporation and Warlpiri Youth Development Aboriginal Corporation.,
