History

The Mexico loaded up 1200 RAAF personnel with equipment for Morotai on her first trip to Darwin. One Australian soldier was a bit shocked that on boarding the SS MEXICO they had to declare a temp oath of Allegiance to the USA and swear that any thing they saw on the SS MEXICO they could not talk about. The ship and its equipment was a war secret.,
