History
The Second Battalion arrived in Brisbane on 22 December 1941 on the Pensacola Convoy. On board MV Tulagi, the Battalion sailed with the convoy to Timor. On the 19 February 1942, the troops were on board in Darwin when it was attacked. Headquarters A and Service Batteries were aboard MV Tulagi and B and C Batteries were aboard the SS Portmar. After the Tulagi was beached they took refuge with 147 Field Artillery at the 17 Mile Camp. Wofford, Mead and Skelton died on that day and Bauer died of his wounds on the Manunda. The Regiment left Darwin on 28 April 1942 to Camp Seymour near Melbourne where they were re-equipped with 105mm guns.,
