The Georgina Basin water management area (the study area) covers an area of almost 120,000 km2 southeast of the township of Daly Waters and east of the Stuart Highway. The development of a Water Allocation Plan for this area forms part of the Northern Territory Government's (NTG) commitment to implementing recommendations of the Scientific Inquiry into Hydraulic Fracturing in the Northern Territory. This report summarises the water resources and natural water balance that relate to the Georgina Basin water management area that resides within the Georgina Wiso Water Allocation Plan (the Plan).,
