Abstract

Limnophila sessiliflora (ambulia) is a submerged aquatic plant with emergent stems and terrestrial forms that produce pale blue/lilac flowers. It is native to India, Sri Lanka and the Philippines, and has naturalised in Italy, China, Japan and the US. It is a popularly traded aquarium plant often sold as an alternative to cabomba. It is a weed of rice cultivation.,
