|Biographical notes:||Settling in Darwin in 1973. Julie was a representative in the South Australian Wilson Cup Tennis team, captain of the South Australia’s senior women’s tennis team and attained an Australian ranking. Julie developed the tennis needs of Darwin juniors, for whom she has been both the coach and mentor. Darwin’s distance from interstate centres presented a hurdle to Julie, in terms of keeping up on the latest sports information, with determination Julie succeeded in making tennis an important social and sporting event. President of the Darwin Tennis association and vice-president of the Northern Territory Tennis Council Julie with others started the Northern Territory Wheel Sports Association. Julie is the Acting Executive Director, Sport and Recreation 2006. Julie is married to Francis William Brimson they have three daughters. Julie has been the Northern Territory Open Singles Tennis player in 1973, 1978, 1979 to 1981 and winner of the Steve Abala Role Models 1974.|
