|Service History:||Sedgwick served one year with the NSW Mounted Rifles and four months with the 3rd NSW Imperial Bushmen during the Boer War. He embarked from Sydney on board HMAT A64 'Demosthenes' on 18 May 1916. He was promoted to Lieutenant and transferred to the 3rd Battalion. He returned to Australia on 23 September 1919 on board 'Ascanius'.|
