The primary aim of this study is to describe the water quality of five tidal creeks in Middle Arm at a time when development in the catchments of these creeks was relatively minor. Incorporated into the study was a comparison of data sampled from different locations within each creek to ascertain any longitudinal differences. This study was broken down into four separate investigations which aimed to: - 1. Measure natural variation in the physical properties of water quality. 2. Measure natural variation in nutrient concentrations in water. 3. Measure natural variation in phytoplankton biomass.
