Mapping the Future was a five-year (2018-22) program funded by the Northern Territory Government to undertake water, land, soil and biodiversity assessments in areas with high development potential. The goal of these studies was to support sustainable development of natural resources and to de-risk investment. This desktop biodiversity report summarises the terrestrial and freshwater biodiversity values associated with the central Roper River catchment, including mapping sensitive and significant vegetation communities. The report identifies potential risks to biodiversity values and associated threat mitigation strategies. It also details information gaps and work that is required to inform sustainable development.,
