McMinns Lagoon is a semi-permanent wetland situated thirty-four kilometres south-east of Darwin in the Litchfield Local Government Municipality of the Northern Territory. The lagoon is known for its abundant wetland birdlife and scenic views. McMinns Lagoon Reserve (the reserve) is a popular recreational area and is commonly used by residents in the Darwin region and interstate and overseas visitors for nature walks, bird watching and other recreational
activities. The reserve contains a lookout and picnic area which on occasions hosts community events such as weddings.,
