Abstract
The Alice Springs water allocation plan 2026 – 2036 (the plan) sets rules for sharing and managing groundwater to maintain public water supply, ensure sustainable development, protect environmental values, and recognise Aboriginal cultural and community interests. A draft version of the plan was developed between 2025–2026, with release of the draft plan, draft background report, and implementation actions in February 2026 for public consultation.
This summary outlines the engagement undertaken, the feedback received, and how feedback has been considered in the final Alice Springs water allocation plan 2026-2036.,
