Siblings William Thomson (9 yrs); Rachel Thomson (8 yrs); Thomas Thomson (6 yrs); George Thomson (5 yrs); David Thomson (3 yrs) and Archibald Thomson (4 mo). Also in the household at the time of the 1891 Scotland Census was Annie McDougall (15 yrs). Married Jeanie Bannerman in Scotland on 9 December 1918.,
History
Unit embarked from Brisbane on board HMAT A36 'Boonah' on 21 October 1916. Invalided to the UK 31 August 1918 and returned to Australia per 'Aeneus' 18 December 1918. Discharged from the AIF in, as medically unfit, on 16 June 1919.,
