History
Jackson was a member of the Fourth Contingent to leave Darwin on October 1915. He embarked with the 4 Infantry Battalion, Naval and Military Forces - Special Tropical Corps from Sydney abaord HMAT 'Te Anau' on 20 November 1915. Jackson returned to Australia on 16 January 1917 on furlough before returning to Rabaul on 31 March 1917. He left Rabaul on 7 November 1919 for discharge. Jackson had 6 years prior service with the Royal Navy.,
