On the 1st of September this year I went to my first Noonamah Rodeo to record the action as young cowboys tried put their skills to the test riding bulls and broncos for eight seconds. Like most rodeos the junior events were first, with the young cowboys riding bucking calf well into the afternoon, once they had finished things started to heat up with the older boys riding much wilder bulls such as the one pictured bucking out of the chutes, the bulls name is 'Rock salt', and without a doubt he's the meanest bull in the Territory. Like all rodeos there were cowboys sitting quietly on the top rail of the yards waiting for their turn in the chutes, there were crazy bulls trying to destroy anyone who got in their way and cute cowgirls wandering around with cans of bourbon and cola in their hands chatting to the cowboys. Add to this the Crusty Demon's Motorcycle Show with motorbike riders flying through the air doing amazing aerial acrobatics and The Roy Bell Boxing Tent and you have yourself a true Northern Territory Rodeo.,
