Description

Made available via the Publications (Legal Deposit) Act 2004 (NT)., Tara’s water supply is drawn from a bore in the Central Mount Stuart Formation. There is only a small margin between the operating draw down and the pump intake depth. However given the difficulty of maintaining even a simple monitoring program in a location like Tara, and the small demand the most realistic approach is to reduce the pump discharge if the water level falls to the pump intake, and review the situation. Water samples should be taken every year for C1 analysis. Samples should be taken when the pump has been running for some hours.,
