PO Birdum Party with Mr Burton, Guard and Post Mistress J.F. Burton was the Road Master and his duties took him all along the North Australia Line. The duties of Post Mistress were relatively light. She usually received two or three letters each delivery. Here they are both pictured with the Bonds Tour group who are complete the rest of their tour by catching the train north to Darwin.,
