"The National Trust together with the Australian Bi-Centennial Authority is seeking to produce a description of the route of the Overland Telegraph Line which will ensure that this important part of Australia's history will not be lost with the passage of time and development." A search of records revealed little that was of real use in the accurate definition of the route.
