An aerial view of the Government Residency, probably 1930s.
A little on Bruce Aberdein Clezy .. born 15 May 1904, Mt Gambier, SA to Herbert James Clezy and Elsy Patience Jesse Alexander. 1932 saw Bruce in Alice Springs to open the new bank there, along with David Slater Jnr from Adelaide as a Ledger Keeper .. his vehicle was the Silver Anniversary Buick registration NT 945. March/April 1935 saw him and David in the new bank, just built on the Goldfields at Tennant Creek. A couple of years later (not sure when) he is in Darwin after the death of the bank manager there, definitely in 1937 for a reported cyclone. 1938 he transferred to NSW.
