Description
Yorky Mick, aged 84 years, second from left; others unidentified. He had lived 44 years in the district and had not been into Pine Creek since the War began. He lived off the land, shooting buffalo and wild cattle, kept 400 goats and had a large garden and orchard. His part Aboriginal son and one of his Aboriginal workers were speared around the time of this photo.
