Back of photo reads: "TA.B.109 24/6/1907 Mail camels at AG". " Mail Camels at Alice Springs Telegraph Station",
Notes
This means the photographer was Thomas A Bradshaw, who started numbering his glass plate negatives from late 1905
A.G. is code for Alice Springs Telegraph Station
This photo was taken about 200m south of the Telegraph Station looking Southwest.
Many of Bradshaw’s glass plate negatives were destroyed before the remaining negatives were donated to the Alice Springs Telegraph Station by the Bradshaw family.
Bradshaw made prints for anyone for the cost of materials, so photographs survived in many other collections.
