This is the 1912 vintage bridge at Daly Street Darwin. The view is looking down hill towards Port Darwin. Just beyond the bridge the original level crossing can be seen. Some of the curved concrete abutment of this early bridge is still visible on site in 2010.
This bridge resolved many grizzles from Darwin residents about the two Level Crossings (Daly Street and Salonika). But it created many accidents by its angle. The current bridge was built about 1970.,
