TUESDAY FEBRUARY 5 2019 LIFESTYLE 11 V1 - NTNE01Z01MA Go Crackers In Shenzhen, China this Chinese New Year! Book with your travel agent, global.donghaiair.com or Trip.com Fly direct from Darwin to Shenzhen onboard Donghai Airlines to trot out the New Year celebrations amongst spectacular world-class culture, dining and entertainment. With deals so sweet, youll go sour if you miss them! Chinese New Year Feature Celebrating CNY at NT airports 2019 celebrates the Year of the Pig in the Chinese Zodiac calendar. Generally speaking, characterisations of those born this year include being diligent, compassionate and generous. They have great concentration: once they set a goal, they will devote all their energy to achieving it. At Northern Territory Airports were equally determined in our energy to achieve greater things for those airports we operate in Darwin, Alice Springs, Tennant Creak and the entire Territory. Connecting people be it for family occasions, to visit friends, have sporting teams challenge one another, or business people doing the deals that keep the Territory working were keen to see people connect more often. At Darwin International Airport, celebration of our cultural diversity is part and parcel of developing new and important visitor markets. Were celebrating the Chinese New Year holiday period through several unique activations in our Darwin terminal, in recognition of this occasion and the growing importance of this visitor market to the Northern Territory. In Darwin, in partnership with Tourism NT, weve already invested in Chinese wayfinding and digital signage. Over the Chinese New Year period, well have a Lion Dance performance on Sunday February 17 between 11am-1pm in the Domestic Terminal. Dances will occur at checkin and in The Green Room (first floor departures). In addition, on February 5 (the day Chinese New Year occurs) SilkAir will be handing out red envelopes to departing passengers. With the commencement of services by Donghai Airlines in 2018, and the existing services of SilkAir and JetStar Asia connecting to China via Singapore, Darwins connectivity to China and those that celebrate Chinese New Year is continuing to grow. With improved connections comes improved opportunities to engage with new people, places and experiences. Thats something that weve devoted ourselves to doing. Getting to China has never been easier. To travel with Donghai Airlines, visit Helloworld Darwin City or Topend Travel, trip.com or for corporates call QBT Travel. For SilkAir or JetStar Asia, please visit the airline websites, silkair.com or jetstar.com.
