"Another Way". TENNANT CREEK Centacare NT July Holidays Excursion Trips: Youth from Tennant Creek will participate in two separate holiday excursions in Alice Springs; one for girls and one for boys. The aim of these excursions is to increase local knowledge, provide kids with alternative holiday activity, promote good behaviour and social skills. ALICE SPRINGS Alice Springs Youth Accommodation Support Services (ASYASS) ASYASS Discos: Two discos for young people in Alice Springs will be held during the June/July school holidays. These events will provide an evening of drug and alcohol free music, dancing and food. Young people will be involved in planning, and organising of the events. NHULUNBUY Gove Peninsula Surf Cub Incorporated Youth Development Bring a Friend Camp: A two day camp for the young people of Nhulunbuy. Activities include leadership games, a talent quest, first aid, resuscitation (EAR) and leadership skills sessions plus many more. The camp will teach participants life saving skills and will encourage involvement in surf life saving in Gove. JABIRU Jabiru Town Council Dance, Drama and Twirling Fire: A week of dance and drama workshops coordinated by a council representative and representatives from Corrugated Iron Youth Arts. The week will conclude with the official opening of the Jabiru Youth Centre including dance performance workshop participants and fire twirling displays. REGION ORGANISATION/ INDIVIDUAL ACTIVITY REMOTE COMMUNITIES Nyangatjatjara College Nyangatjatjara Inter-School AFL Program: Several organised AFL competitions between young Indigenous people from Imanpa, Mutitjulu and Docker River who are students of Nyangatjatjara College and the Alice Springs High School (ASHS) AFL team. Competitions will be held in both Alice Springs and Yulara.
