Auction Following some general discussion, Warren proposed that next months auction take the place of the General Meeting. Benefits include no extra facility booking and a probable better attendance. A show of hands clearly supported this idea. Warren and Anthony will act as auctioneers. Given the comparatively tight time frame, members are requested to bring a maximum of 12 plants for sale [whether donations or with a reserve]. Supper will be shortened. Vendors should bring a plant list [with reserve prices if appropriate] on the day. It is hoped that Peter will act as the financial controller as happened last year. Advertising was also presented for LOCs auction on Sunday 14 th October at 12 midday. Anyone wishing to sell needs to provide Sherryl with a plant list by Friday. It was also noted that the bromeliad club would be having a sale at 8.30 on Sunday 14 th as well. 2. Christmas party. This is now confirmed for Saturday 15 th December at the Casuarina Club. Menus and prices have not yet been released but are likely to be similar to last year. Again, a Kris Kringle will operate with people bringing gifts to the value of approx. $15. People wishing to donate goods for the hampers should bring them to the November meeting [auction] or give them to Kerryn or Vanessa. LOCs Christmas Party will be on Saturday 1 st December. 3. After party/Lynns birthday A big thank you to Anthony and Rei for hosting the event and providing lots of food and goodies; to
