OMBUDSMANS OFFICE NOTES TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS For the year ended 30 June 2018 112 it is probable that the economic benefits associated with the transaction will flow to the agency and the costs incurred or to be incurred in respect of the transaction can be measured reliably. Rendering of Services Revenue from rendering services is recognised by reference to the stage of completion of the contract. The revenue is recognised when: the amount of revenue, stage of completion and transaction costs incurred can be reliably measured and it is probable that the economic benefits associated with the transaction will flow to the entity. Repairs and maintenance expense Funding is received for repairs and maintenance works associated with agency assets as part of output appropriation. Costs associated with repairs and maintenance works on agency assets are expensed as incurred. 2018 2017 $000 $000 4. (4) Includes legal fees, claim and settlement costs. 6. WRITE-OFFS, POSTPONEMENTS, WAIVERS, GIFTS AND EX GRATIA PAYMENTS The Ombudsmans Office had no write-offs, postponements, waivers, gifts or ex gratia payments in 2017-18 and 2016-17.
