MacDonnell Regional Council Staff Newsletter SEPTEMBER 2018 volume 10 issue 4 page 9 CLOCKWISE from TOP LEFT: Before, during and after the Mt Liebig basketball court refurbishment Mt Liebig basketball court bounces back to life The basketball court in Mt Liebig was given a new life recently by our Technical Services team. The court had been identified as needing to be upgraded by MacYouth who took the initiative and applied successfully to the NT Government Department of Sport and Recreation for funding to get the upgrade started. Additional funds were also provided from the Local Authority Project Funding and handed over to the Tech Services team to manage the entire project. The project scope included installing new Colorbond and chainmesh fences, moving the court off the existing boundary, installing a new concrete court over the top of the existing bitumen, relocating wiring underground for the overhead lights and line marking the new court. We appreciate all interest shown by politicians in our service delivery RIGHT: During a recent visit the (then) Prime Minister Malcom Turnbull caught up with (left to right) our Chief Executive Officer Jeff MacLeod, President Roxanne Kenny and CLP candidate for the seat of Lingiari Jacinta Price BELOW: visting as the Assistant Minister for Children and Families David Gillespie met with (left to right) our Chief Executive Officer Jeff MacLeod, Director Community Services Rohan Marks and Manager Childrens Services Margaret Harrison
