Litchfield Strategic Directions 2018-2022 26 Long Term Financial Plan A long-term financial plan is important for ensuring Council remains financially sustainable into the future and reflects good practice in taking account of long life assets such as roads and drainage infrastructure. A Plan enables Council to assess the impact of financial decisions in the longer term. In preparing the long-term plan several assumptions are made in relation to the following: Inflation rate projections Growth projections Interest rate projections Employment costs projections (given the Enterprise Agreement, Step movements, superannuation liabilities) Utilities and Materials costs Developer contributions Territory Government economic projections
