We have been provided with a draft of the agreement and have raised some concerns about the document. We met with DCM this week to go through some of those concerns and DCM have agreed to work through those issues with us. In Darwin, we held another Skill Swap, the guest for the morning was Ruth Crooke, Child Mental Health Workforce Consultant from the National Workforce Centre for Child Mental Health talking out their project Emerging Minds. It was great to hear ways that the sector workforce could be developed to better respond to the mental health needs of children. Marnie and Sarah, NTCOSS staff in our Alice Springs Office, have been in Tennant Creek this week. They have been meeting with member organisations there to talk through some of the key areas of NTCOSS work as well as getting feedback and information. Janine and Jenny, NTCOSS staff from our Darwin office visited Katherine to talk all things Directory. Have you claimed your organisations listing on our new online Services Directory yet? Many listings still sit unclaimed so we are urging you to have a search and update your service information. We have staff available to assist you to claim your listing. If you need assistance or want to provide feedback you can just contact Jenny on 89482665 or jenny@ntcoss.org.au and she can arrange assistance by phone, email or in person. The directory testing phase ends soon. Over the last few months we have held consultation sessions in Darwin, Alice Springs, Katherine and Tennant creek. Feedback has led to many improvements to the Directory. One key addition, after consulting with the key stakeholders for National Suicide Prevention Trial (NSPT) at NT PHN, is an additional category - suicide prevention. If your organisation has already used the category Mental Health you will receive an email to alert you to this additional category which can be added to your listing if required. Once testing is completed the Directory will have a new look and a promotional push to the sector and the end users will commence. We hope you are using the Services Directory to assist you in your work, find it on the NTCOSS homepage via desktop or mobile.
