- 6 provide Departmental input to Cabinet papers where relevant; monitor, and report to the Secretary to Cabinet, on the implementation of Cabinet Decisions; provide administrative support to the Co-ordination Committee. During the year Cabinet met on 38 occasions, 30 in Darwin and 8 outside of Darwin including Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, Katherine and Nhulunbuy. In these 38 meetings, 427 submissions were considered and 483 decisions recorded. Executive Council Secretariat The role of the Executive Council Secretariat is to provide secretarial and administrative support to the Executive Council. All activities concerning the Executive Council are co-ordinated through the Secretariat, including the provision of advice and assistance on the preparation of formal proposals to Departments and Authorities. The Secretariat provides Parliamentary liaison services, including support to Ministers during the sittings of the Legislative Assembly, monitors the approved legislative program and provides advice and assistance to Departments and Authorities in relation to the development of specific legislative proposals.
