4 business and industry working in partnership with the Northern Territory Government. Mr Speaker it is vital in preserving our lifestyle to ensure a partnership of all these players. Putting lifestyle at the top of the list for preservation and promotion will not happen without that partnership. Mr Speaker, I will now turn to the detail of the document entitled Preserving and Building on the Lifestyle of All Territorians. This document represents a whole-of-Government approach to maintaining and, if it is possible, improving the Territorys lifestyle. Mr Speaker, in order to achieve this it is important to set some goals for the Territory and Territorians. Territorians have identified a Territory with four very important elements. Territorians want the Territory to become a community which is proud, determined, optimistic, self-reliant, tolerant, friendly, supportive of one another and committed to community involvement and activities. Territorians want the Territory to be a place which values individuals who should feel economically and personally secure and have access to quality health, education and housing. Territorians want an urban environment which remains clean, open, safe and welcoming. Territorians want the largely undisturbed natural environment preserved while ensuring it is accessible to the public. Mr Speaker, this document does not consider the areas of education, business environment, essential services or governance and administration. Those areas are the absolute fundamentals of the vision for the Territory-the building blocks. They will form part of my final address on Foundations for Our Future which will be delivered in the first Parliamentary Sittings of next year.
