The average Australian household energy consumption of electricity, gas and solid fuels costs $1,120 when charged at prevailing Victorian costs. In comparison, the average Northern Territory domestic electricity consumption costs $1,070 dollars. The average energy bill in the Northern Territory is comparable to the total energy household bill in other States when the total mix of energy consumption is considered.
