NOV 03 ' 95 13=26 OFF ATS I HEALTH SERVICES k W T . GPO Box 9848 Canberra ACT 2601 Talephone: (06) 289 9348 Talex: 61209 Fax: (06) 289 4070 COMMONWEALTH DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES AND HEALTH Dear Chairperson Rc: Additional Funding for 1995-96 The Office for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Services, Department of Human Services and Health, will shortly be in a position to consider additional funding bids o f health and substance abuse services for the 1995-96 financial year. As part o f this process, the Joint Health Planning Committee will be meeting shortly to advise the Minister for Human Services and Health on the broad priorities for providing additional funding to services. Attached is a list o f all funding requests currently held by the Office for your organisation. This list includes applications submitted to ATSIC for which the documentation has been transferred to the Office (including for JHPC funds) as well as other funding needs identified by you to this Office since 1 M y 1995. The purpose of this letter is to check that the attached list accurately sets out your additional funding requirements. I would be grateful i f you could advise us of any amendments to the list, including any additional funding needs not included and provide justification for your needs. We would like you to ensure that in this process you identify all your additional funding needs for 1995-96 including any additional funding to cover salaries, award wages or vehicle replacement. We are hoping that our lists are already almost complete and correct. If we do not hear from you by the 13 November 1995 we will assume our listing is correct and that all your bids for 1995-96 funding are correctly listed. Please note that it is unlikely that the Office will be in a position to provide additional funds in 1995-96 after this round. I f you cannot make this deadline please contact us immediately. Your response can be faxed to the Ofnce on (06) 289 4070 or mailed to the address above. Should you have any enquiries please contact Michael Hayen on (06) 289 9348. Yours sincerely Dr Louise Morauta A/g Principal Adviser Office for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Services 1 November 1995
