Bobby asked if Richard expected to have his own clinic in 6 - 10 y e a rs . Richard stated that he did not know. Jo asked w hat would happen if Health and Human Services do not fund at the same level in the next financial year. Richard stated that the budget w ould be re-assessed, and that they could utilise ATSIC funding. Colin stated that an interim serv ice agreem ent be form ed before the budget is handed over and that em ploym ent" con tracts be drawn up for the Registered N urse and Health Worker. R ichard agreed . Ted stated that he would be happy to consult in the future. Ruth asked Ted if there would be funding for another clinic nurse. Ted stated that it would not be possible from the 1st o f January. Jo gave an outline of the consu lta tive reports from M aningrida, Menzies School o f Health and the Jabiru Council; and that consultation should occur with reference to these reports. Gary stated that we need to u tilise health workers more. Colin stated that we need housing for Health W orkers. Meeting closed at 1130 HR. Following the meeting a discussion occurred with Ted Hobson regarding the use o f medicare num bers to bulk bill m edicare for p h arm aceu tica l item s.
