Abstract

This report provides extensive information on pesticides used within the Darwin region, the contamination risk they pose to surface and ground water resources, and where these pesticides are being used. This information will assist water managers to target monitoring programs at areas of specific interest, allowing effective and efficient use of limited resources to detect pesticide contamination where it is most likely to occur. Maps of the Darwin region have been produced at sub-catchment scale, and show the distribution of land-use, and associated potential pesticide use throughout these catchments.,
